Upon glancing at the topic/title of the suggestion, a visitor/viewer/user, etc. should be able to tell on the color of the topic/title which way the voting procedure is leaning towards.

The cost of laying fibre to homes is huge, so not many people are attempting full roll-outs, and those that do are achieving monopoly or near monopoly status as a result.

Rather than having one set of fibre to everyone's houses, there should be municipal pipes laid in the streets that could carry power, glass fiber etc., and utilities would lease space in the pipes to lay their cables. The lease would be as little as possible to cover maintenance, but great enough that it will encourage non-users to retrieve their cables. This should dramatically reduce the cost of the last mile and allow more entrants in to the market.

The current method of submitting ideas and voting on them is cumbersome and time consuming. It is also hard to find a good common time for everyone involved to attend the voting session.

This is an idea which demonstrates some of the common mistakes in ubuntu brainstorm ideas.
Items which are correct are prepended by a green tick.
Items which are incorrect are prepended by a red biohazard sign (also includes the WHOLE of solution 2-4)
Comments on the incorrect items and where the information should go instead comes after the item and are prepended by an ascii arrow: ---------->
